Magical Magic... I have had a season's pass at Okemo for 5 years but will switch to Magic next season. The terrain is the best in southern Vermont. New snowmaking equipment is all over the mountain and the lifts are totally refurbished. I dread the day when this mountain becomes as popular as it deserves to be because then I might actually have to wait in a lift line! The new owner Jim Sullivan is doing all the right things (e.g. fixing the lifts and getting new snowmaking equipment, having live bands during holiday weekends). Go Magic!

i have been riding this mountain for 5 seasons and haev loved every one of them. all the staff are friendly and helpful. there is a low key and down to earth feeling all around the mountain and you have a sence of relaxation and peacefulness. the apres ski are always a great time to reflect on your day of skiing or riding with your friends and family with a drink from the bar. we havent had a terrain park but this year we did put in to rails, and you will find little booters in some hiding places that the staff has made for them as well as you to enjoy!

A true Vermont classic skiing at Magic Mt. Sometimes it feels like I have the hole mountain to myself. I'll be skiing the Glades or the Black Diemond runs and never see another skier. When you see two skiers waiting for a duoble chair thats a crowded day. The skiing is great here. So ski it if you dare.

Magic is back and is going to be big! Jim Sullivan is dedicated to the Magic experience. I saw him out there teaching ski lessons for the last three weekends. Show me another owner as hands on. The mood is great, and the staff beleives in him and the new direction he will take the mountain.

We have been skiing at magic starting in the 80's. Yes, bromley screwed it up for greed-the new ownership has put in new pipes-are fixing the lifts-and will make it work. Skied magic on sunday-and it was terrific. no, it is not 100%-but still the best terrain in the east. When the ski patrolers/and mtn workers at stratton/bromley/and okemo have time off, they still prefer magic.

Magic Mountain used to be the best skiing mountain in Southern Vermont, with the most incredible terain, and great snow. However back some time ago both Magic and Bromley just down the road from Magic, were both owned and operated by the same owner. The owner decided to close down Magic and put all of his assetts into Bromly, and close down Magic. Magic was closed for years, because when the owner closed Magic he did not want anyone else to open it back up so he not only closed Magic but destroyed all snowmaking
ability by smashing all the piping ect. Magic has since opened up with new owners, but because of the total destruction of snowmaking, Magic has lost it's Magic. It is my hope that Magic will be what it once was: The Best mountain in the Northeast.
