Saint Anne was amazing! Everyone was extremely friendly (staff, skiers, boarders) and the resort itself is beautiful. Nearby Quebec City is also a must-visit afterward for the nightlife! YOU WILL NOT be disappointed!

This is our 4th year skiing Mont Sainte Anne. We decided to try it a few years ago to escape the crowds during school break in February in Vermont/Maine/NH. We really enjoyed it, most of all the skiing. They have a lot of snow (every year there's been plenty of snow there) and little to no lift wait. The trails are challenging and some are a lot of fun. When we're up to chasing the kids, we head into the enchanted forest which has a nice run of bumps in the woods. There are a lot of intermediate and advanced runs. The people are friendly and we've been very comfortable there. There's also Quebec City close by if you want to take a day off and explore the old city. All in all, it's a wonderful place to ski and a good value too.

There are plenty of nice reviews in the internet, saying something like “best family ski resort…” I would like to share my experience, as we’ve just spent a week of our ski vacation there.
The mountain itself is great place to ski, lifts are in good condition.
We booked lessons for our kids, private lessons for ourselves – even though we are intermediate level skiers we wanted to get known with the mountain trails first and be free from kids for a week. (They promised full week of fun for kids as well).
So, first private lessons are low level, suitable for beginners only. My kids also did not learn something new on their lessons. Snow sport school itself is a big building, but there is no warm room for kids to change their boots, clothes.
All I can say, that it is a pure business – making money is all they care about.

I have been skiing at Mont-Sainte-Anne for several years now, and each time it has been a wonderful experience. There is a variety of trails, and the mountain is large enough that one could ski there for a week without being bored. The back side of the mountain offers some great glade skiing, there are black and double black diamonds for the experienced skier (the area is called, i believe, the Black Forest or Black Knight or something similar), and there are great trails for kids and families too. On La Picard, a blue square, there is a 'sugar shack' where they will pour molasses into snow for you to wrap on a popsicle stick and eat - great for little ones! There are also many different choices for meals, ranging from a crepe shack to several lodges and a little village at the bottom of the mountain with delis and more formal restaurants. A great way to experience this mountain is to stay for a few days at one of the hotels right at the bottom of the mountain.

The slopes at Mt Sainte Anne are incredible. For double blacks try the lifts on the western side of the area... when we were there they were groomed to perfection. The whole mountain has excellent intermediate slopes and quite a few long fun beginner trails. And the snow seems to be always good. One thing to note is that there is alot of trail merging and crossovers. However I didn't find this as big an issue as at some of the other eastern areas I have been to. Absolutely 5 stars!!!!
