I am so disgusted with these guys!!! this was my worst experience ever! these guys are just looking for the ways to rip you off!!
We were planning a wedding at Camelback Ski Resort, Tannersville, PA.
The wedding coordinator, Mary Bianco, was giving us all sorts of false information for 2 months. She is completely unprofessional. Instead of asking for 2-3 k for the reception, food and beverages, like we were told before, they asked for 13k in the final proposal!!! Here's some examples of how they violated the initial agreement:
tent rental 6k instead of $250, as promised;
we were told, there's no location fee, although THERE IS ONE!
we were told, they would provide us with chairs, tables and dance floor although THEY DIDN'T!
dinner: $50 per person instead of 45, as listed on their website.
AND MANY MANY MANY MORE examples!!!

Just returned from a great day boarding.
It was our second time out this season and by the end of our lesson we were both carving the bunny slope.
The Burton boards and helpful coaches were worth the trip. Our lesson was small starded as 8 eventually split down to just 4! We learned a ton. I was suprised especially since it was a holiday weeekend.
the resort needs some updates, the changing room and locker rooms leave much to be desired.
The mountian was a little icy, but to be expected in mid March.
Can't wait untill next year!

I have skied Camelback all season with my family (kids 8,6 and 2). We have also tried JF/BB but keep coming back to Camelback. We have had an amazing season. In our experience, the lessons at Camelback are far better, especially for the kids. We have found that often, there is no need for private lessons since in the group lessons the kids often get split down to 2 kids per instructor (once they get beyond the true beginner phase). The trails there are varied and challenging and alot of fun for all levels. When there is fresh snow, there is no place better around. Seems to get icy easily and often though. Avoid holiday weekends if you are a nervous skier or sking with a few kids because it is very overcrowded and stressful but I guess that is probably the same everywhere. I have used the babysitting alot for my 2 year old and it is good for the $5 hr that they charge. We have also put the older kids there after lunch if they run out of gas early. Although the mountain is great, avoid the lodge if you can. The dining and lodge situation leaves alot to be desired. There are very few healthy options and very pricey. Also, simply no seating and the bathrooms are pretty nasty. We avoid eating there if possible. By far, the best place to eat is the deli on the top of the mountain - better food, less crowded and a cool view.
awesome, friendly very good downhill terrain wide trails difficult and challenging trails

I've been going to camelback for years. Dont go at night. They go down to the least amount of lifts possible to save $. Real hard to get around.

Arrived on group trip on 2/21 for 3 days.
Chateau advertised shuttle but none to be found.
Night skiing great (can see texture, bumps & ice easier). Snowed 3-5" on 2/21.
Visited once before. Lines were longer on Saturday & Sunday. One worker on Stevenson Lift (express, left mountain) was yelling at this guy for not knowing how to get on lift, but didn't seem to help.
Food was fast, pricey. Top of Mountain Deli had nice view and custom made sandwiches (Hard to find). Ski maps (pocket and billboard) both too small.
Bathrooms not cleaned, not welcome -- some no support bars. Surprised resort doesn't have much ski out, aside from private condos on right side of mountain.
Night skiing great. Meadows and Poconos Raceway decent. Terrain park & half-pipe in good condition.
Saw ski patrols at lift lines, but not much on mountain. Some runaway skiers & snowboarders.
Parking shuttle nice.
Chateau had way too many kids. Exercise room & sauna too small. No consistent info about wi-fi & shuttle. Mountainside Grill decent. Had buffet. Great view of mountain.

When I ski here on weekends, I go between 8am and 10am only. I usually ski midweek and it is usually pretty decent for East Coast, Pocono skiing. The food is bad and expensive, so I recommend eating elsewhere.

it was a gret day. i left right away in the morning and got there at about 730 am i got good parking. didnt have to wait in any lines for lift tickets or rentals. all the trails and lifts were open. only some of the beginer lift lines and the quad lines got a little long at times but it wasnt too bad. but if u want to get on a chair right away i suggest the two lifts in the middle of the mountain. the marc antony and the cleo lift. they are "camelback little secret" because no one knows about them. they rarely get a long line

Absolutely awful. The lines were long, toilets were out of a third world country, staff was less than friendly, and most of all no one was slowing anyone down on the easy slopes - my daughter almost got clipped a couple times, because snowboarders were trying out the easy slopes to see how fast they could get down the hill. Lastly, I have been skiing a long time and have never seen as many injuries coming down the mountain than I did at Camelback.
I could go on and on, but just avoid it if at all possible. And if you have seen the YouTube version of the Camelback introduction, don't believe it. It's all hype.
terrible place all together big lines, trashed bathrooms, shut down 3 lifts a 5 with tons of people still there. place was a total joke don't recommend it at all
