Small friendly resort with some of the best snow conditions in the NW. Anthony Lakes is about powder. The road to the resort can be a challenge. Only one lift, but the some of the best powder around and short lift lines.

Anthony Lakes is not close to a major city, but there is a dedicated crowd from near and far that come to enjoy the pristine powder on this desert peak. There is only one main lift to serve the hill (although snow cat service is available for a fee on neighboring peaks), but there is plenty here for everyone. Not really the best for the first timer, the hill has a good mix of blue and black terrain to satisfy most of your needs. A modest 900 foot vertical is more than made up for by the complete lack of a line to get on the lift, and the superb quality of the high desert snow. There is a functional and not unattractive cafeteria, where the prices are actually reasonable, and the food is quite good. If you are in the area, this is the best hill around - if you are a beginner, you may prefer to head north to Spout Springs. Overall, a very good hill, with some of the best snow in the state.
