Have always been impressed with the resort. Our family has skied there for nearly 30 years. When our kids were younger, we had full season memberships. They were well worth it. Their ski school was fantastic, my daughter ended up as an instructor there. Their grooming has always been superb. As a family run resort, they have always taken pride in the quality of their operation.

Visited MSLM on Dec 30th 2006. Hard to do a fair review due to lack of snow... really bad winter so far for Southern Ontario...BUT from what we have experienced.. here we go:
TERRAIN: very good for families>>you will find easy runs for small kids, intermediate for moms and some dads, and a park for teens and those bored to death.... not much of a vertical.. but then again , you are in Ontario and not in Banff or Panorama
SERVICE: I think>> good...meaning>> kids get a help when getting on the lift, information provided when asked about directions, runs etc.
FOOD: too much $$ for too little... bowls of soup too small, burgers are not made on the grill.. almost like MCDonald... you need 5 of them to fill your stomach,but the chalet is cozy enough to find your own space( THIS DOES NOT APPLY TO OUR SECOND VISIT...WAY TOO CROWDED THIS TIME..I GUESS IT DEPENDS WHEN YOU ARE COMING HERE);
CROWDS: not too big during our stay, some line ups at the lifts during hours when halfday skiers show up at the hill;( THIS DOES NOT APPLY TO OUR SECOND VISIT...WAY TOO CROWDED THIS TIME..I GUESS IT DEPENDS WHEN YOU ARE COMING HERE);
ACTIVITIES: not much really>>> skiing school with friendly instructors but that's about it; if you came to ski only , you are fine, anything else, forget it...
****VALUE: I think $40 a ticket is a bit too much for what you are getting, but again these resorts are checking each other, and the prices go up, sometimes unjustifiably; at least include one of those small burgers in this price, please....
Reasons for coming: good service, friendly ski school, they have snow when others ( INTRAWEST) do not, not much choice in Ontario;
AFTER VISITING MOST OF THE ONTARIO "SKI RESORTS", I AM QUITE DISAPOINTED WITH THE TERAIN, LARGE CROWDS, AND SERVICE YOU DO RECEIVE...GO WEST OR AT LEAST TO VERMOUNT, EVEN QUEBEC AT LEAST ONCE A YEAR TO GET WHAT YOU CANNOT FIND AS A SKIER HERE IN ONTARIO!!!!

This is Mount St. Louis response to a question about possible night skiing
Their lack of interest for new customers including the youth, they show no need for further customers.;
Goodafternoon
Sorry the one thing you will never see here is Night Skiing. The owners are
quite happy with the way things are run now and are quite happy with the
compliments they receive about the hills.

> We love to ski Mount St. Louis. I use to ski there when I was a child.
