If you go here.... DO NOT FALL!
Youre practically snowboarding on ICE.
IM an intermediate boarder, and if you fall it will HURT.... BAD!!!!
I am sore as hell, my hand is sprained, my butt cheeks hurt, the cartilage in my neck hurts.
Hardly any good powder, they can charge $50 only because its close to Vegas and probably the only place to board.
You can barely cut, the BUNNY hill sucks, hardly an incline to learn. But i guess the only good thing about it is that its close to Vegas, and hardly any lines because not alot of people were there.
The food wasnt all too bad, $7.50 for a slice of pizza and 24oz drink.

Very close to Vegas but its not worth the 50 dollar lift tickets. The half day lift tickets are only 5 dollars cheaper. Ridiculous. The runs were all chopped up from skiers. The food isnt great for the prices they charge for it. Very crowded on the weekends. They should give the locals some kind of discount. I snowboard every weekend in Brianhead and its ten times better then Mt charleston. I rather drive 3 hours more to board in a nice spot. I will only go back to Mt Charleston if the lift ticket price drops to 25 dollars a day because thats all it is worth.

Incredibly expensive for the experience. $50 for a day of the same runs over and over?
I am sorry - but all the comments about it being close doesn't forgive the gouge.
Guess this is for the hi rollers and out of town folks that are okay with a one day experience.
Hey - if the upper reaches were developed or the base had a real lodge with real food and places to park and rentals to match. Day trippers bored with the strip - I guess the gouge prices are okay.
But you want us locals to come frequently? Drop the price and give us a break. And open up the rest of the place. Grow the mountain and then you can charge the Killington gouge prices.

The Good: Close to Vegas; The Bad: WAAAY overpriced for the cpl of runs they have.
Overall it is not a very challenging place but ok to spend a day here and there. Weekends can get very busy, during the week is nice a empty! The food at concessions is not to good, and lines are usually long. The charilifts are old and a bit scary not having bars - not good for little kids. After a snowstorm this little resort can still produce an occasional powder experience that will give you a big grin on your face

Great place to get out of Vegas! Wether you work here all week or are here visiting, you won't find better outdoor recreation when it snows. As for the $50 lift ticket. Consider it a convenience fee. What more do you want this close to a major city. Some years the natural snow is lacking. This year is looking great so far! The staff is very friendly and helpful. Boarder's Resort, no doubt. Hey if you're looking for a Colorado style ski resort, go to Colorado.

lvssr is a great place for locals to get away for some quality snow. me any my freinds have been going up the last 3 weekends now and their has been a huge storm the last two weekends. so their is plenty of fresh pow for all. the terrain is not very chalanging but its worth the 45 min drive. they rent burton snowboards so their rentals arnt crappy. Lift tixs are outragous at 50 buxs for all day. thats more than brianhead. so basicaly its a sick place for a short drive or ur first time rideing. check it out

Mt. Charleston is nice to get away from the city, the winter is the best. You get to go skiing or play in the snow without having to drive to Cali or Utah. What do you expect, its a cute small resort with a little snow. Nothing crazy. The skiing and snowboarding isn't the best compared to other places of course. But if you want to get away from the city and have a little fun, definitely check it out. So the lift tickets are a little expensive, thats the price you have to pay for a quick getaway from Vegas.
As far as the locals, I am a local and I hear a lot of talk about how they get a little impatient with the out of towners. In my opinion, the out of towners pay the same green money we pay to ski at Mt. Charleston so who are we to be rude with them??? Without the out of towners vegas wouldn't be what it is today more or less mt. Charleston. So chill out vegas and let them enjoy there visit to the mountain as you do.

This resort only has a few things going for it. First is that it is close to a major town. Second, it gets real snow, not much though. Finally, its very good for a first timer. Considering its bunny slope has a 1-3 degree pitch, which is almost flat. What this resort lacks are the following. The lift price are to high, currently only the bunny slope is open with a $20 lift, are you joking. Poor snow making, considering the heavy average lift prices. Finally below average terrain variety, and quality. Advice, to make pricing fair for what the ski area offers. This is not a resort. Proper management and marketing could improve. Spend some money on snow making.
