As a avid skier , I love skiing as much as I possibly can. Black Mountain located in Jackson , New Hampshire is one of the hidden treasures of New Hampshire skiing with it's retro feel and lodge it is often overlooked by skiers who aren't willing to go off the beaten track which is a shame. The mountain offers 40 trails. From easy cruising greens to sharp turning double black diamonds it is a pleasure to ski. I recommend this mountain to anyone who loves to ski but hates the overpriced mountains of the New Hampshire area (Attitash). So if you love skiing at it's purest check out Black Mountain.

Im constantly traveling.. and hitting every available board park on the way.

I went here last year... the mountain is sick. We pulled in and saw no lines at all. Hit the mountain, had a mad good time cruising down to the park where the real fun started. It was nice not having 20 kids sitting in the middle of a roll-in for the jumps/rails/boxes/etc...The pipe was perfect, but they could have stepped it up in the size department for some of the jumps. It was a good change to pull off more technical stuff than you usually do though. To top it all off... All we got were compliments and thumb's up from dudes up in the chair lift passing over the park. No smartass kids yelling down and laughing if you bail, as if they've never caught an edge on a backside 5. I didnt really focus on the family aspect during this review, but I gave it a 5 because it would be hard not to have a good time for anyone. Real good environment.

If I didnt think the mountain kicked ass then I wouldnt have taken the time to write up this review. Go check it out.

My family has traveled to New Hampshire for the last 5 years and every year we check out Black Mountain. Every year we find the excellent management and staff have made it even better than the year before. With new trails, new events, and improvements inside the lodge, Black Mountain keeps getting better and better! This ski area is great for all ability levels. There is the platter pull surface lift for the beginners. Or the more confident skiers can test their abilities on the double black diamonds at the top of the mountain. This wonderful ski area is also the most affordable in the area, making easier for the whole family to ski there. I would recommed Black Mountain to anyone looking to spend a wonderful weekend skiing in the White Mountains for an affordable price.
