Tenney Mountain is New Hampshire's best kept secret. Lift lines are almost non-existent. The mountain's conditions are great throughout the day and it rarely gets skied off by the end of the day. The atmosphere is very family oriented. You can get to the mountain by mid-morning and still get in all the runs you want. The terrain is varied and there is something for all ability levels. The price is right too. For value and a great time, you just can't beat Tenney.

I am glad to see Tenny up and running. It has been a slow start and could be better organized. There was much left undone on opening day. The mountain is in great shape and the snow has been good. However, the double is not up and running yet! There is no access to the top of the mountain. Lots of fresh power waiting to be riden. Prices are great. Seasons pass is just $300 for adults and $239 for kids. Hope to see the double running soon and some hot chocolate waiting for me at the summit like old times. If you have family and a limited budget, Tenney Mountain is for you. Great skiing and resonable prices. Wait till the double is open and then give Tenney a try. You won't be disapointed.

Tenney Mountain's strength is that it is not crowded. There is rarely any line at the lifts and if Mother Nature cooperates, it is an awesome Mountain to Ski. In the past, when we have had very little snow, the Crew at Tenney were very wise to only open and maintain what they could. And the trails that were open were very well maintained. I agree that Tenney is the best kept secret in New England. There is absolutely no night life at Tenney but it is surely a family friendly place.

Tenney Mountain is one of New Hampshire's best kept secrets. The trails are classic New England trails with double fall lines and enough diverse terrain to keep the interest of intermediate and advanced skiers. Once you've skied Tenney, it's hard to go back to the over-crowded slopes of the regions more popular mountains. Today, most mountains have more uphill capacity than the skiable terrain can support. If you've ever spent a weekend at Loon, you know what I mean. Tenney is a rare exception with more downhill capacity than uphill. Even on weekends, lift lines rarely exceed 5 minutes and you often find yourself alone on the trails.

The lodge is comfortable and the food is reasonably prices for a ski area. The staff is cheerful and the ambassadors are friendly and heplful. Tenney reminds me of Bretton Woods 20 years ago, except that the terrain is more interesting and it's much easier to get to for those coming up I-93.

If you're looking for a family friendly mountain that's a great value, I would highly recommend giving Tenney a try.
