I visit this resort often!! The staff is so friendly, love the food!!! The snowgroomers/lift attendees do an awesome job! It seems like all the employees are all hard workers and really try to make my experience a truly memorable one!! Keep up the good work!!! Cannot wait till 2008-2009 season

I went there for easter weekend. on good friday it was crazy windy so only the spruce duckling and beginner lifts were open. the terrain park is so ill!!!!!!!!!!!! also i like the Eastside terrain park its sorta small, but theres NOBODY there. i am an intermediate skier, so i went to the sun bowl area it was nice but the lift is slow. i have heard rumors that it might be upgraded to a hispeed quad that would be really nice. i like the blastoff trail a lot, but there are a lot of little kids on it for some reason? same with williamson trail.

Service was slow at the ticket windows! Bags, Ski's,Poles everywhere they shouldn't be! Skiier requests go ignored or argued about. Like the last reviewer said;Famous Quote"the fish stinks from the head" GO ELSEWHERE! Others have $$ deals and lots of snow.

Management/supervisors have haughty New York, NJ,demeanor! This style is not for New England Yankees. No break for Seniors or College Kids. Food pricey. Mountain is south facing so get out your rubbers.

I'm a big fan of Mount Sunappe. For me, it's the best "real" mountain close to Boston. Pat's Peak is great for kids but pretty limited and Crotched is bland and boring except for the park. I haven't been to Wachusett but I hear it's crowded anytime there's enough snow to make it interesting. Sunapee is big enough to offer a variety of trails, has consistent snow, but doesn't get too crowded. It's probably not much for nightlife, but being only an-hour-and-45 from Boston, it's my favorite for a quick blast north.

We are a family of 4 from Boston and we love Sunapee. Our kids are 9 and 8 and we can't say enough about how well organized Sunapee is for ski school. It's the total package. Drive up, drop off and know that your kids are having a great time as well as learnign to ski.

Sunapee itself is a modest mountain, but they make a ton of snow and it's so easy to get too. Why suffer the extra drive to the bigger areas only to find worse conditions?

Lack of good Apres Ski is moot since you're driving back to Boston after the day trip that's soooooo easy.

nice mountain for a day trip. I usally go on weekdays and have not had a problem with the crowds. The terrain is somewhat limited as far as you seem to end up using alot of the trails over and over again. The sunbowl is nice if the main mountain gets crowded, the lift is slow though. I tend to like mountains with a little more top to bottem access of all terrain.

Many people say bad things about Mt. Sunapee but they usually visit at one of the 4 days a year when the mountain is packed. I ski there every day of every weekend and it is usually deserted. The lift lines are non-existant and there is ALWAYS SNOW! Sunapee usually closes around the same date as Loon, even later than Bretton Woods and all the other ski areas in NH, excluding Wildcat (based on 2006/2007). In our racing district we are usually called spoiled since we are all used to some of the best ski conditions in North America. The bad part is though the summit can get very cold and windy since there is no mountains even close to its height in sight. To visit Mt. Sunapee and have a good experiance you must pick a day where there is a snow storm or when there is little snow in Boston. The best trails are probobly blast-off, lynx, cataract, skyway, and the wingding. Be prepared for Lynx to be shut-off to the public since it is a lot for college and state races. Last, on a bad day ski in the sunbowl, you get over 1000+ of vertical plus it is usually warmer and more sheltered.

I have been going to Sunday River almost exclusively for about 10 years with the occasional day trip to Loon and once a year for a three day trip to Jay. Recently a friend brought me to Sunapee. I hadn't been there for 20 years! I am really impressed! The snow was great, I love the layout of the mountain (no matter which way you go down you can reach the summit again easily) and it is close to home. I snowboard, usually all mountain but the park is great too. I liked it so much I'm going to get a midweek season pass, which also is good at Okemo and Stratton. I'm done with the crowds, cost and long drive to The River. My favorite run-Blast Off, top to bottom no stops! Just Rip It UP! Overall a great smaller ski area.
