Really Good Skiing So fun for Family During Winter It is a ski resort during Summer it is a golf corse Even Though It is artifiacial snow it is a lot of fun!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I go to Hidden valley all the time. In St. Louis there isnt much snow or any mountains, yet you can still come out to hidden valley and have fun.they have nice terrain parks and the whole place is well operated. the lines are short and the people are friendly. Just try it out, the more buisness they get the the more fun you can have.

The snow is all manmade and is very icy.The vertical elevation is not what is listed. You can go down a run in a matter of minutes.I can understand why the place is not crowded.Would not recommend going there.
The best thing about my experience was catching air on the jumpity jumps on the backside. It was nice and warm,so I ran in a tee and jeans, with more protection gear.A comfy and fun place to go if U can dodge kids and learners.Hidden Valley is a beautiful drive from Springfield, and for cold Red Bull and Vodka's, it's worth the trip! I'm putting stuff on myspace.com/VR4GASM ASAP!I wish they would open early so I can get some good vid's this season!
I went to Hidden Valley twice last year for the first time, and its a decent place. Its only got like 13 runs or whatever, but considering there are no lines, and no crowd, its well worth it. Also it was warm enough to snowboard in just some snowboarding pants and a t-shirt.
I had a good time both times I was there. The snow is pretty much 100% man made, but dont let that scare you off. The terrain parks are pretty sweet with some nice jumps.
One thing to keep in mind, like most resorts, the food at the place is super high, like 3 dollars for a small bottle of gatorade, 6 dollars for a burger etc. The parking lot is really close to everything, so i would suggest packing your own lunch and leaving it in a cooler in your car or something. I will be going back this year for sure...if they get it up and running.
