We have skied Mt. Kato and several hills in MN for the past several years. I have found the lift operators to be helpful especially to younger kids that need help. The snow making equipment produces very good snow.
It has a mix of runs for every level. They have a couple terrain areas, no pipes. Food is standard fare but very good. They also have tubing later in the year which is fun.
The slopes usually aren't too crowded unlike some of the hills closer to the Twin Cities. We always have a good time when we go there.

This is a pretty good little midwest ski/board area. Fairly decent priced lift tickets, and a decent amount of runs. I've only been here twice, both early season and just on their artificial snow. First time conditions were great (around 30F) I was really surprised with how well their fake snow rides. The secound time was a bit warmer (45F) and the fake snow was pretty sluggish.
Staff service was average, some of the lifties were rude but that is pretty typical. The terrain park has some pretty good sized jumps, and 3-5 pro rails. No Halfpipe, but one of the blue runs (Wolf Ridge) has a nice big quarterpipe that is popular with the park riders. There is also another black run (Tomahawk Chute) on the back side, that has quite a few jumps built on it, and is fairly challenging. Overall this isn't necessarily a park worth taking a big trip to, but good for a day out if you are within a 1-2hr drive.
