10:00am Sunday morning, the last Sunday of winter, and the skiing is fantastic at Nubs Nob. Perfectly groomed conditions, 20 degrees and not a cloud in the sky. 1:30 Sunday afternoon and the skiing is wonderful. Hardly a lift line anywhere. Just ski down and sit down on the chair. Still sking untracked corduroy on the edge of the runs. Lots of snow everywhere and only a few icy spots. The conditions are still in mid-winter form, and should stay good if it doesn't rain or get warm. The snow softened in the afternoon, but the chair seats warmed in the afternoon sun and it was amazing. The first time I ever thought I was riding a lift with heated seats. Big party planned for this coming weekend, so the lift lines may be longer.

We skied last Saturday and Sunday with the little kids, 3 and 6. The snow was great mid-winter groomed powder, with clear blue skies, and a pleasant 25 degrees with sunshine. The older kid skied the whole area and the 3 year old stayed on the purple chair. Sunday was even better with fewer people and just as nice a snow. If you like the groomers, this is the place as the snow is impeccably groomed twice a day, or more. If you want to teach a family member or friend to ski, the ski school is great and the purple chair is free. Go to Nub's and have fun.

Spent the day at Nubs January 3. Great snow, best groomed in West Michigan. Lift tickets are a little pricey, but the conditions make up for it. No lines except by the lodge, entire area was open, glade area was in good shape. Next time will turn right into Nubs instead of left to Boyne.
Great place to ski.

The ski shop has gone way downhill this season and last season. I hear the GMs kid took over and cant pull his weight.
The food remains excellant!
The hills are short but well maintained.
A great place to ski if you have all day to ride the chairs.
Expect to pay way to much for every thing! everywhere.

Probably the best snow conditions in the state. I skied in early December and the snow was fantastic. They really have this snowmaking and grooming thing dialed in. The selection of slopes is not as vast as the Boynes, but what the have is great. No real lift lines to wait in. The newly expanded "Pin Tail Peaks" area is a great family spot. You can get a lot of runs in and there is a good selection of terrain back there. They also have a "gladed" tree run which is real fun, and a "monster" half pipe.
The food in the cafeteria is the best. No other Michigan area can compete in this category. You have to try the soup or chili. The entire staff is super friendly. I will definitely return.

Nubs is the best kept secret in lower Michigan. Let all the yuppies hang at Boyne Mt. It may not have as many acres as Boyne or as challenging steep runs, but it does excellent with what it is.

The runs are nice and spread out. They set the lifts up so you can have nice relaxing long runs, or you can hit the few steep runs they have.

They get a lot more snow than most places in MI, and are able to have a fun little tree run. Lot's of hidden little hits for boarders like myself.

The terrain park is top notch. An excellent pipe and a spread out park with jumps and lots of rails.

Nubs doesn't have a great lodge or resort. This can be looked at as good from my perspective because it makes it so it's not always super packed.

December 27th was my first time at Nubs Nob and I was very pleasantly surprised. More beautiful and longer runs than Boyne Mountain even though the lifts tended to be slower, the scenery was enjoyable. The staff were very friendly and helpful

Nubs Nob is the best! I went up to ski Boyne Highlands for two days, but after one felt that I had skied all of Boyne and was also rather disappoined with the incredibly icey snow and long lines. So I went over to Nubs and had some of the best skiing of my life! I've been out west and all around Michigan, and I have to say that Nubs is probably the #2 ski area I've ever skied (#1 being Wolf Creek in CO). The snow was pristine and the lines about 0-3 chairs long. There food has always been fantastic and a great value and the lodges are quite nice too. I spent little time in the terrain park, but oh my god is it fantastic. It looks like it is out of a video game in the perfection and the quantity of the jumps. Also there is a very long, free begginer chair lift!
