The skiing was good but the facilty is in desparate need of renovations. The bathrooms were disgusting with urinals and toilets not even functional. The ones that were functional had rust stains and were overall dirty. The cement steps going from the lounge/restaurants were cracked, crumbling and had steel rods sticking out. Not only did this look terrible, it was a safety hazard. Please update the facility.

Mt. Brighton is definetly snow-boarder freindly with several rails and a half pipe (pipe was almost all grass at the top). I went just before x-mas and it seemed like it was all 14-17 year old wanna be punk kids. I went to ski because it is close to home. Most runs were not open as reported. Runs are extremly short and not challenging at all. Hill was all ice and was not groomed as advertized. With limited runs open, not at all worth the $30 lift ticket. Also service at the hill side bar sucks. it took way too long to get a re-fill on an empty beverage.
If in the area and dont mind driving a few extra minutes, I reccommend Mt. Holly. More skier freindly and while the runs are not challenging, they seem better layed out for a bit longer ride.

I go to Mt. Brighton with my friends quite often. It is great for snowboarders who are just looking to get out there, but if you are into major jumps, this may not be the place for you. While occassionally they will create a few jumps, it is mostly rails, and one half pipe. This is a great place for beginners, with a small hill, and a few intermediate hills, for those not quit ready for the chair lifts. Overall, Mt. Brighton is a great place to go hang out with friends and go snowboarding.
I go to Mt. Brighton every weekend during the winter. Mt. Brighton is mostly snowboarders. Good runs although there are a few that i have never seen open in the three years i've been going here. The terrain parks are small but good and they make sure to change up the features which is nice. The small rope tow terrain park is for begginers or for learning new tricks. There is normally a small jump and a few beginner rails. In the big terrian there is normally a large a-frame at the top along with the steepest flat down flat down kink you have ever seen at a resort. The terrian park also has a long flat rail, a c-box and a big jump. In order to hit the big jump you must bomb from the chairlift to clear the about thirty foot gap to the landing. The jump is normally groomed to perfection. Ski Patrol is nice and the lodge is very old and needs major updates.
Super Good time not far from home, hills and conditions were fast, nice resort where you can enjoy yourself and relax. Snow conditions seem just right snow was packed just right...Will be there again...Don't miss the Michigan Gas Show held in Brightn May 20th 2007.

Ok little local resort west of Detroit - if you don't want to drive it is close. Do some cool events during the season which are fun for the kids.
Overall pretty flat and definately could use some updating.
