Hermon is an awesome place to board for its price and accessibility! My coworkers and I were in Bangor for business and we were stoked to find this little hill only ten minutes away! Being from Southern California, the closeness of this hill was amazing to us. It's not by anywhere near half the most thrilling place you'll board, but it's fun to just go and do it; And with the short travel time from Bangor, and the fact that it's something like $15 for a FULL DAY...you don't really have a lot to complain about, especially when you get some freshies over there.
The runs are EXTREMELY short (we're talking under half a minute if you just bomb some of the intermediate runs, or under two minutes for the longer green runs, but that just means extremely short journeys on the lift!
Very young crowd (pre-teen to teen), so watch out for the little ones!
Have fun!

The snow at Hermon Mountain is wonderful this year! The mountain is very well managed and a great place for family skiing. We have been twice this winter so far and had an awesome time. Very reasonably priced and well run mountain.
