I've skied Nashoba many times over the past 10 years. It is like many ski areas in the Midwest that I've skied (MN,IA,WI,MI, KS & NE). Its a fine family area that's really good for beginners.

Nashoba Valley is basically a hill, but a great one at that. It doesnt match up to anything north of it. It is a great place to learn to shred, and to have a great time. I have gone on days that throw a blanket of snow into your face and shred the mountain. When I go, I usually only go into the terrain park(which isnt that bad for beginners) because the rest of thge mountain is boring. The only other run that is pretty fun is the Indian run. The indian run looks like a large half pipe going down, and nothing is sweeter than to pull a backside 3 off of basically a little kicker at each side. In the terrain park there are some long rails and boxes that I love to jib over. The "main feature" is a peice jump with a 20 foot gap that is way too large for the size of the jump itself. The reason I like Nashoba is because it doesnt gather up snow and create moguls like mountains in northern NY or out west. The moguls make for the WORST experience ever for any snowboarder. You can try to hit them but after gathering speed, nothing is worse than to eventually loose control and get thrown to the ground. Anyways Nashoba is great to gather up 10 or 15 friends and saddle up. Rock on.

If you can handle 240 foot vertical drop .... you can handle anything....... I must say this is the most pathetic "hill" I've seen. And the lifts suck.

Today I went to (snowboard) at nashoba. All the trails were open (obv. we just got 9inches of snow last night), The mountain is very small with slow lifts; however, it was very fun. This is definitely a family oriented attraction, or a great beginer mountain. The Diamonds were relatively easy: Slolums on some, No Moguls, Steep. What I loved about them though, was that even though they were quick to go down and slow to come up.....There was a very large trails with a lot of room, and nice tall trees. If you have ever rode "Sunset" on the north peak of loon mountain, it's kind of like that scene. The snow was groomed well, also. I was only in the lodge for a minute but it was warm like lodges should be.
Also the terrain park was very Good!!! I recommend it, no pass required.
Recommend: Blue:Terrain Park (Sundance)
Black:Cheif (Racing trail) or warrence
