Experience didn't live up to the HYPE by their marketing department which is writing most of the positive reviews shown below. Come on who can't read between the lines on these reviews! It's a good mountain for Mass. Nice lifts, cool windmill but conditions are not all that great. Park is mediocre at best and at other times aweful! Very crowded on weekends but that is a typical resort experience that has soooo much lodging they need to put heads in beds. A bit overpriced too this isn't a western resort or even VT.

Jiminy Peak was a great skiing place. It has good rentals, lodges, and has a sort of village at the base. There are good trails, with variety. What's really cool about this place is that your 8 or 4 hour lift ticket starts whenever you buy it, so you can arrive at noon and still ski for a day price on the slopes till 4 or 8. Night skiing here is fun too, with the trails brightly lit. Overall a great place.

Jiminy isn't bad for a day trip but i don't think id spend much more time there. the six pack get ridiculously crowded on weekends and u can spend 30 min on line and ski down in less than 5. runs straight down off the summit. if you wanna get your moneys worth u gotta ski along the top. most of the trail are pretty boring, even and groomed flat which is good for beginners but leave everyone else wanting more. nothing like the whales at okemo. decent park, fun features and an ok layout. employees are friendly, some of the instructors are a bit off (my sister broke her wrist and they didnt take her to first aid). all in all its good for a day trip after theyve gotten to make alotta snow

Seems like a great year of snow already. Trails today were packed powder only a few open but still ahead of Wachusetts and the rest of the MA Ski and shred scene. But.... i found that the mountain is not best suited for beginners more of an intermediate mountain in early season no long gliding trails to learn on this early in. But overall for the advanced skier or snowboard Jiminy is the way to go. great mountain and good price for the day same terrain as the big boys for less of your hard earned.

thanks to the hard work on the behalf of the employees at the resort, i have had an enjoyable ski season. the froomers are always out to keep things nice and the lift operators are corteous. the conditions of the mountain are great, especially with the new snow from the valentines day storm and the st. patty storm. this new stuff really helped the mountain and i look forward to more great spring skiing

Jiminy March 9th @ night

the snow condition was a very hard surface. Good for curving but only if you have good edges. Not good conditions for park session or learning, you'll want to be there when its above freezing for the rest of the season, or on the off chance, until another big storm comes thorugh.

As soon as it softens up into corn there will be an excellent spring.

Terrain park (large) consists of c box in the wrong place its too clsoe to the start of the run so you can't get enough speed even with the fast conditions. Then a flat box bout 20' then a up-down rail 'bout 10' each side. A 30' kicker a 30'/40' split kicker, a 50ish' gap launch that shoots you straight across but not up. A quarter pipe on the left and a dragon box (narrow though like 6") on the right.

Medium terrain park is a down rail side by side with a flat down and a small narrow rainbow box and a up box.

there is no half-pipe.

1100' of well groomed vert. Great conditions for Western Massachusetts. Good mix of trails for all abilities. They also have a seperate park with some BIG hits.
