Ive gone to snowstar 3 times this week each time it getting worse its not the park thats getting bad its the snow.
There isnt any anymore hopefully it snows cause the last time that i went on monday it was nothing but "ICE".
Friday Jan 26. I hit snowstar today and had a good time. The snow was slow and abit wet. I think the temp was pushing upper 30's. This is a good place for beginniner skiers to get some things happening, the runs a too short for more advanced skiers. If you live within an hour drive it is worth the trip any farther may leave you wondering why you drove so long.
Yesterday, Jan. 19, was an exceptional day at Ski Snowstar. I have just returned from Copper Mountain in Colorado where I taught my two grandkids to ski. The "bunny hill" was very crowded and difficult for the kids to navigate. I went to the same area of Snowstar and found it to be uncrowded, with a "magic carpet", lots of skiing room and many friendly and inexpensive ski instructors. Snowstar is a jewel in the midwest for those wanting to learn to ski and snowboard. Check out the photos of the learning area and one feature of the terain park.
Snowstar Winter Sports Park is ready to open! The Quad Cities, Il. is in for a great time this year on the slopes of Snowstar. Six inches of natural snow and over 3 feet of man made snow is ready to greet the fun loving outdooor enthusiasts this year at Snowstar. Great skiing runs, an improved snowboard park, tubing, and good food next to a roaring fireplace will put a smile on your face. The fun won't stop at nightfall as the lights come on and the evening fun begins. Opening day is December 9th with early season hours on the 9th and the 10th from 9 am to 9pm.
