Spain's original ski centre (established in 1911) has now expanded with villages at 1400m (4500 feet), 1600m (5100 feet) and 1700m (5800 feet). It offers tree-lined trails overlooking the sunny Cerdanya Valley and one of the closest resorts to the Mediterranean.

The resort is also rare in Spain in being lift linked to its neighbour, Masella. The Alp 2500 region that joins the two has 113km (70 miles) of trails, the largest ski area in the country.
