Great for a small mountain. Their are usually no lines except evening in January when there are many bus trips. Staff are friendly and nice. Prices are very reasonable, from 3pm-7pm on weekdays is $21 for everyone.

I recently visited with a large group of friends. We had a great time, even though one of my buddies broke his wrist on a jump.
One thing that sucked was your snack shack. No CC - ATM only, what a scam!
But the skiing was great. Next time we'll bring cash!

I am witht the Hamden Middle School Snowboard club. I think that everyone that works their makes sure you will have a good time. The instructure are really nice because they help you when you need help.

Skied Mount Southington on New Year's Eve day and found it very well groomed with no lift lines at all. Just went up and down all day. When the sun came out it was like Spring conditions. Lift attendants and other staff were very friendly. For a small mountain it was great.

Mount Southington is a Great mountain. Skiiers, go here or Mohawk, Sundown and Woodbury are always packed with self absorbent Rude Snowboarders. Go here. Good snow, everything is pretty good 4 a ct ski area.

I have been skiing at Mt. Southington since I was 3 years old and I am a little over that now just 50! It is local, it is very well groomed, the employees go way out of their way to make your trip pleasurable. Yes you can get a larger area going further north but for the convenience it has it all over the surrounding ski areas.

Make the trip, you won't be disappointed!

It's a ski area, it's in CT. It's pretty good for what it is. Excellent learning mountain or to get back into the sport. Makes a great day trip for people who don't always seek out the hardest trails on the mountain.

they really could use a half-pipe, have no idea where to put it but maybe to the far skiier's right, past the trail dom's run, right where there is this natural gulley about half-pipe size, no idea if thats acutally mountain property though.

Terrain park has about doubled over the past few years and again excellent terrain park for learning or for practicing technique.
