Stop complaining about foot rests, and stop complaining about the lifts. If you don't like it that much, simply don't go there and spend a thousand dollars at Beaver Creek or Vail. They have little foot rests for your numb legs. Anyway this place is very convenient and the snow is always great. Friendly staff too.

Affordable small ski resort. Great terrain options with plenty of off piste. They need to put in a half pipe and a faster lift but then it might not remain so affordable and uncrowded. Friendly employees and guests!

The lifts are slow and ancient. Its a fun mountain if you don't want to goto Aspen or anywhere on I-70. The west end of the mountain is the only ski area in Colorado that a snowboarder needs "ski poles" due to the flat areas. Overall its a great mountain! The owners of Powderhorn should take some time and update the lifts/flat areas.

Powderhorn is one of my favorite mountains in Colorado. It is a small mountain but has some nice steep runs, and some excellent tree runs. The best part is the atmosphere, no long lines, no attitude. I wish the other big resorts were still like that.
A great skiing experience. Unique, smaller resort atmosphere. Beautiful vistas. Plenty of off piste in trees and and chutes. Friendly staff. No lines and plenty of vertical in a day. A real treat.

The lifts are slow and ancient. Your legs are numb as there are no foot rests by the time you get to the top. I would rather buy a pass for snowmass and spend my time driving than sitting on an out of date slow chair lift. Its close to Grand Junction and that is all I can say good about it.
Powderhorn is the classic example of a laid back ski area that offers a grand time each and every time. The terraign is diverse including some of the best tree skiing I have done period!! Being small you can find fresh tracks days after a storm. I have been a boarder for over 25 years and I am in love with Powderhorn! I feel lucky to live so close to a classic Colorado Mountain without all the hype!
