Well, the description this web site has is wrong. Mt. Shasta Ski Park has 2 Terrain parks. One is small and located on the beginner hill. The other is a large advanced terrain park in between the other two lifts. The park also has a large half pipe. There are 3 lifts and soon will be a 4th that will almost double the size of the park. There are no on-site lodging. There are plenty of hotels in the small town of Mt. Shasta just 10 minutes away. The whole area is gorgeous and the mountain it self is breath taking.

Across the highway from the ski park, there is Snowman's Hill, used for sledding or tubing. In the town of Mt. Shasta, there is an ice rink open to the public and you may rent skates there. This area is a great place for family vacations for all ages. There web site is SkiPark.com. Hope you all have as great as an experience as I did.

The Ski Park just broke 200 inches of base! I thought the first storm was epic, Some people in town must be thinking this is getting out of hand but I'm more than happy to report that Mt Shasta has more snow and more powder than anyplace in the world! Not Mammoth, Not Tahoe, no one is getting the amount of snow Mount Shasta is getting. I know your going to say, "what about Colorado, or Utah?" NOPE, well okay then, "what about Washington, or Idaho?" NO! Well then "Alaska has to have more powder!" Not even close! What is going on? A small California Ski resort, not in the Sierras, not in the Rockies but in the Cascades! 14,162 foot Mt Shasta is now the place to be if you want powder! Mt Shasta has always been a little known ski and board park, but to those who make a living Skiing, Snowboarding, Snowmobiling, or any winter sport, Mount Shasta, and the surrounding area is simply know as the best backcountry skiing & Boarding in the world! Did you really think Shasta was just a Cola?

Nice staff WAY to crowded on weekends and holidays. Don't recommend, often turned away before you even reach the parking lot. Weekdays rock, IF there is fresh snow otherwise beware!

went up to shasta on new years and it was awesome! no lift lines, great tree powder, and the groom is super fast and well maintained. nothing like riding straight down to your truck after a badass run! now that this huge storm just rolled through, shasta is going to be powder central. all the haters need to keep their mouth's shut, dont board if you cant hang.

Keep an eye out for a little fresh snow and you won't be disappointed! If its icy, bring your knee pads and helmet...... The weather is key to having a good time.

Mt. Shasta is a powder hounds paradise if it has just snowed the night before! If it has not, it is often icy, and has a washboard effect. They have a sweet super pipe! It is 300 foot long with 17' walls! There terrain parks are kept up well but don't change at all during the season. They include all kinds of features including rails, boxes, rollers, kickers, etc. There are two different terrain parks and a separate rail park. With over 30 runs and four lifts Shasta is always a good time on the weekdays! It tends to get over crowded on the weekends.

If you go to Mt. Shasta on a day where it has just snowed at least a foot the night before and it's empty of people, it is heaven. Sometimes you can make first tracks on an area out in the trees in the afternoon. Unfortunately those days are few and far between. If it hasn't snowed recently or it's crowded it's terrible. It gets chopped up in a couple hours and then it's like you're skiing or boarding on a washboard. I will say that they have great staff in the learning center. The guy who taught me to snowboard remembered me and checked up on my progress. Also, I'm not sure if the lodge has been redone since it opened in the 80's.
