I enjoyed the Speed Skiing event at Sun Peaks recently. People think it is a crazy sport, but overall it is a fun filled safe event for strong skiers - a huge addrenalin rush. On the downside, there are no big peaks to take away your breath, but the cruising runs are great.

Better than Whistler for families with less crowds, easier (ski in/out), and nice fluffy powder. The village is like something out of a fairy tale and the Delta offers the only luxury full service hotel I have seen outside of Whistler and centres the village. Highly Recommended especially if you have kids.

My wife and I made a return winter trip to Sun Peaks back in March 2007 (my second and my wifes third). We simply cannot imagine a better place for a skiing holiday. it may not have the late night wild nightclub atmosphere of other resorts but that's not we travel thousands of miles each year to experience. Would a Canadian come to Australia and not go to the beach ?!?
There's plenty of variable terrain from the roller coaster glade runs of Mt Morrisey to the "where did the rest of the world go" back country feel of Mt Tod, especially off the Burfield Chair and West bowl T-Bar.

We stayed at the Delta and cannot fault it in anyway at all. Don't plan on losing any weight while your here though as the restaruants are some of the best in the region and eating out every night becomes an obsession.

As a side note, don't ignore Sunpeaks as a summer holiday destination aswell. We had a one night stop over there a few years ago and regretted not being able to stay longer. Most ski resort look untidy and barren in Summer, not Sunpeaks !

We have already started planning our 2008 trip !

I skied Sun Peaks from March 18-24th. This resort is awesome there is nothing like it. Lift lines are short and the whole village is family oriented. The season was getting late but it did snow every day while I was there. Morrsey had some awesome powder tree skiing, Tod had nice long runs, and Sundance had a pretty nice park. I came from Seattle and would do this trip again in a heartbeat.
Try to get into a Bear Creek, Crystal Forest condo it was amazing..

The best ski experience I've had, bar none. The resort is definitely family oriented, so if you are looking for loud partying roaming through the villiage you won't find it here, even though there are some great restraunt/lounges where energetic 20/30 crowd can do their things. Once you experience the dry cold climate and snow, you'll never want to ski the heavy wet stuff that exists in pacific coast resorts such as Whistler or Mount Baker. Every single person I have met on the chairs who tried Sun Peaks last season, coming from Whistler, said they would never go back and planned on returning only to Sun Peaks.

Visited for a couple of days last spring. The terrain was very good. Was blown away by the great lodging options in Sun Peaks. It's all seems brand new. There were some nice restaurants as well. I felt if was more of a family resort. Which was fine since I had my family with me.
