Let's face it, skiing in Australia is unique. It's doesn't seem to fit with the image of Australia as the sun-burnt country with the world's best surf beaches. However, those who have been lucky enough to be in Perisher Blue when the snow's good, the sun's shining and the resort is cranking with awesome freeride events will all agree that skiing/boarding in Australia can be the most fun you can have on the planks. Perisher Blue has so much terrain, you can cruise around the resort all day exploring the natural hits, groomers, terrain parks and Superpipe. And once you're done with the snow, you can always head on up north and hit the world's best surf beaches!

Novelty value only. If circumstances dictate that you must ski in Australia, then it suffices. Otherwise, go elsewhere, anywhere else!!

Perisher Blue is Australia's foremost family resort. Surrounded by national parkland, Perisher Blue serves up 1245hectares of skiable terrain making it the biggest in Australia.

You won't find a lot of steeps and deeps but you will find 53 lifts servicing a plethora of groomed chorduroy across mainly intermediate slopes. Perisher Blue is made up of seven mountains and is a purely ski in ski out resort with much of the area pedestrian only.

Perisher Blue prides itself on it's ski school and it's terrain parks with a Superpipe and four terrain parks filled with rails and jumps. It makes for a mix of the youth market and family market.

The apres scene isn't as thriving as across the valley in Thredbo but there is still plenty to do with restaurants and bars and a few pubs. Add some snow tubing plus 100kms of cross country trails and Perisher Blue has it covered for a family ski holiday.
