I've skied all over CO and skied lots at Alyeska and I would rather ski eaglecrest everyday of the week. The amount of terrain you can get to from really one lift is incredible. So many pillows, so many cliffs and chutes. The park consist of three kickers and two rails, tops, but there is no reason to ride park with all the sweet terrain around. And the guy who posted above me lied. Eaglecrest has never had a year it didn't open. The latest it has opened was Feb 2 in '01 I believe. That was a rough year, but there was still great skiing to be had. Last year Eaglecrest had the most snow in the world for a short period. It was Eaglecrest vs. Mt Baker for first. Eaglecrest also got it's first professional filming exposure. It had a large segment in Optimistic?, this years Absinthe films snowboard movie.

eagle crest is a great resort of all the places that ive ridden this little resort has the toughest terrain i would say that if someone is looking for a back country alaska experience without the cost this place is awesome and nextyear they are adding two new chairlifts and as of right at this moment they have more snow than any ski resort in the world i would definetly go there again
Great terrain for a one lift mountain, lots of trees and pillows. Ok this place isn't somewhere your gonna fly to from Seattle or something, pretty small deal here. Not a crowded mountain because Juneau is a small town. Eaglecrest isn't far from sea level so some years it doesn't even open, like last year. But this year is filling in big time.
