Bring on the Snow

The slow-moving storm coming up from the southwestern part of the nation has covered the entire state in a hodgepodge of weather warnings. Most of the state is under a Winter Storm Watch, while a parcel in the south central is under a Winter Weather Advisory. The north central and northwestern part of PA, where the heaviest snowfall is expected, is in the midst of a Heavy Snow Advisory.

Ski Denton in Coudersport is expecting anywhere from 16 to 22 inches starting around 2 p.m. Tuesday and continuing until 2 p.m. Wednesday. As of 1 p.m., temperatures at the Potter County mountain were at 10 degrees and looked to stay the same overnight with a slight rise on Wednesday.

"We've been meticulously grooming the man-made snow for the last month and a half," said mountain rep Scott Carts, "and some natural snow would make conditions just beautiful."

Along with the Heavy Snow Advisory, areas of the state could see thunder and lightening at the height of the storm Tuesday night completing a meteorological trifecta of sorts.
