The highest peak in Europe, skiing on a glacier, 22 km run; we're not in Kansas.
Vallee Blanche:
Depart Chamonix elevation 1035 meters, arrive Aiguille Du Midi, elevation 3842 meters (vertical rise of 9,500 feet). Observe Mt. Blanc, elevation 4810. Ski down on the glacier. Ride short gondola to train back to town. Can't ski all the way down because of lack of snow. Only one run, but the scenery is OK.
And I thought rocks were a skiing hazard...until I found out about cravasses.
