Beaver Mountain Hosts Big Air Competition

By Jill Adler on March 25, 2008

The 9th annual Big Air Competition and Pond skim splashes down on Beaver Mountain March 29.

This is a party for the whole family, and organizers promise that the competition this year is going to be bigger than ever.

Registration begins at 8:30 a.m. in the lodge for the first 100 contestants. Each entrant is required to have a lift pass, either a season pass or day pass. Non-season pass holders can purchase a day pass for just $30 with registration. The registration fee is $15 and includes a T-shirt, swag bag, and entry into a drawing for a free season pass. A practice run will be allowed before the competition starts. Those under 18 years old need a parent's signature to participate.

Consider car pooling to save space in the ski area's small parking lot as this event has been growing each year. Any car with two or fewer people will be charged $5 for parking. Food will be served from Beaver Mountain's new Culinary Concepts Café.
