Aspen Highlands Extends Season

Photos

The Aspen Skiing Company announced that the mountain will stay open daily through April 6, and then on the weekends of April 19-20 and April 26-27, as an added bonus for those who want a little extra springtime fun on the snow.

The base in Highlands Bowl has hovered around 120 inches, so the mountain is expected to be in excellent shape for spring skiing and riding. It will be open to the 12,382-foot summit of Highlands Bowl. The Exhibition, Loge, and Deep Temerity lifts run daily from 10:30 a.m. to 5 p.m., providing access to the entire mountain.

The Merry-Go-Round restaurant will have a limited lunch menu. Season passes are valid and lift tickets will be discounted during the extended weekends. Any employee from another resort, with a current season pass, pays $12 for a lift ticket.

Frontier Airlines launches its new service from Denver to Aspen, during the last weekend the mountain is open, with five flights daily, all year long.
