New Mexico residents can ski free one day at Angel Fire as the state's resorts close for the season.
Angel Fire celebrates New Mexico Appreciation Day Friday, Mar. 28 by throwing open their hill for free skiing to the state’s residents. You still need a ticket, so bring a state identification or a copy of a recent utility bill to pick up a free lift ticket. The resort runs its lifts for the last day this season Mar. 30, along with Pajarito and Sipapu.
Red River and Sandia Peak closed earlier this month, with only Santa Fe and Taos remaining open through Apr. 6.
