Ski and Snowboard News, Deals, and Events

I travel often for work and it takes me away from my family ... ... for which I care deeply. So I look forward to my 1:1 time with the kids and my wife immensely. This year we replaced the traditional Mouse worship in Orlando (5 years) and instead skied. SKI!!!! Attitash, Cranmore, Sunday River. I can't capture in words how fantastic the experience was for everyone in the family. Sunday River topped in terrain, service, and price. Cranmore couldn't beat for old-school New England skiing and hospitality. Attitash was in the midst of an identity crisis and spotty. Conditions at Attitash were awesome. To do over I would again stay in N.Conway and day trip the 40 mins to Sunday River (ok, more like 55 but time sailed and it was less than the travel from 95 on 26 into Bethel) and also include Wildcat and Black Mountain. Victoria Inn in Bethel was gracious. Any room in the VI Carriage House is like an apartment which worked well for our family of 4. Nordic Village in NH, outside of Conway on the surface was pricey, until one wraps in the incidental costs that are included and the condo layouts. Fantastic location. Oh yeah, my knees hurt - per the title. Well worth it!
