Squaw Valley appreciates the people who live and work in the Tahoe Basin and neighboring areas. So much so that the resort is offering a $20 lift ticket to merchants and their employees Feb. 28. This deeply discounted (by 53 bucks) lift ticket is available to most people who reside in South Lake Tahoe, the Reno area, Truckee and, of course, North Lake Tahoe. Eligible skiers and riders must bring a recent local pay stub (dated after Jan. 1, 2008) and a valid photo ID to Squaw Valley’s “D” ticket booth between 8:30 and 11 a.m. to purchase the special ticket. This $20 Merchants’ Day special also will be available March 20 and April 20.
