The Alta Historical Society (AHS) again hosts their Fireside Chats this winter. These free, interesting, and entertaining programs focus on Alta’s skiing, mining and political history, and will be presented by some of Alta’s most remarkable personalities and visitors. Fireside Chats will be held most weeks throughout the ski season at various lodges in Alta during après ski hours.

On tap are "Ode to Alf Engen" by Nic Nichol, Snowpine Lodge, Thursday, Jan. 31, 4:30 p.m., and "Backcountry Skiing Around the Wasatch" presented by Andrew McClean, Alta Peruvian Lodge, Monday, Feb. 11, 4:30 p.m.
