The 16,000 square foot lodge allows the ski area to dramatically enhance their youth programs including an upgraded children snow sports center, with built in pre-school. The new lodge also includes a drive through portico that allows for easy loading and unloading of youngsters. "The Family Lodge was created with our guests in mind to enhance their visit to Dodge Ridge. I've talked to thousands of guests over the last decade, and careful consideration of visitor input was integral to our design process," said Dodge Ridge President Sally Helm. The inside of the lodge offers numerous conveniences such as large day-use lockers, spacious restrooms and high-speed wireless internet. On the second level of the lodge is a 22-ft high stone fireplace accompanied by a bistro, that offers food, beer, and wine with expansive views of Dodge Ridge. Additional ski area enhancements for this winter include a family-friendly boarder cross park, and additional close in parking adjacent to the new family lodge. Dodge Ridge is located in the central Sierra, 32 miles east of Sonora, right off Highway 108.
