The resort recently opened two brand-new chairlifts, the Basin Express high-speed quad and the new Lakeview Triple, providing access to the top of Schweitzer Bowl. "We are excited to offer the services of our two new lifts to our guests," said Tom Chasse, Schweitzer's CEO and President. "It's been a great first couple of days of the season at Schweitzer and we're now ready to gear up and expand our services." The Basin Express loading area is located in the heart of Schweitzer Village, eliminating the hike that was necessary to load the former Chair One. Skiers and snowboarders ride down a short hill from the unload of the Basin Express to load onto the Lakeview Triple if they wish to proceed to the top of the mountain. The cost of a ticket is $15 if you head up to the hill Sunday afternoon, a $35 discount off the regular adult ticket price of $50.
