Talk about a homelike atmosphere. Your home may not be quite as comfy as the new Sawtooth Chalets at Idaho's Tamarack Resort. You can get into one between Thanksgiving and Christmas for $479 per night. That's per chalet, not per person, and it does not include tax. That's for a rustic, alpine-designed, 1,800-square-foot single family chalet. Each of the 16 homes contains furnishings designed exclusively for Tamarack.
There is a hot tub, attached single-car garage, open floor plan with a great room, master suite and sitting room, and a wrap-around deck.

The price hikes up to $629 once the winter season gets into gear. There are other chalets that are bigger, but the Sawtooth is a great bet to get the family's ski season underway. Call 866-649-6903 for reservations.
