The winter weather is slowly improving over most of the Heartland, but it’s taken its toll. Ski areas in Ohio – Snow Trails, Mad River Mountain and Boston Mills were finally able to open briefly late last week, but all had to close down again over the weekend; again waiting for cold weather with hopefully some snow, but more importantly temperatures cold enough to make snow.

It has been a long struggle this season, but finally all ski areas throughout the Heartland are fully open. It’s the latest that old timers associated with the Midwest snowsports industry can remember for all areas finally getting fully open.
