With over five feet of snow received since the beginning of February Terry Peak is in great shape with some of the best snow in recent years as they head towards the end of the season. There’s still a lot of skiing and riding left for March.
It’s St. Patty’s Day slope style on Saturday. Show your freestyle skills on rails, funboxes and jumps in Area 76; the competition is open to anyone age six and up. Lots of prizes will be given out. A three day consecutive pass, now until the end of the season, is just $99; a college spring break special. Great lodging specials can be found in nearby Old West towns of Deadwood and Leeds. You can spend a night on the site of the old Gem Saloon, which was popularized in the HBO series “Deadwood.”
