Screamin' Tele Lizard Classic race-cum-costume party returns to Mt. Ashland.
That annual southern Oregon ode to spring known as the Screamin’ Tele Lizard Classic takes place at Mt. Ashland resort March 15. The giant slalom race for free-spirited free-heelers is a popular diversion, what with most of the contestants decked in sometimes outrageous costumes (which is highly encouraged). Registration fees are $27 (pre-race day) and $32 (day-of) and includes commemorative T-shirt. There also will be specially discounted lift tickets available for competitors. All proceeds benefit Special Olympics. Check out screamintelelizardclassic.com for details and registration information.
