Snow Trails is still fully open and going strong towards the end of the season with a big St. Patty’s Day bash this Saturday. They will be giving out prizes for the best Irish costumes and the largest shamrock as well as live entertainment with lots of green beer available.

Of the four Ohio ski areas Mad River is the only one to report new snow... an inch to be precise. Still and all, cold temperatures are holding earlier, significant snowfall and area skiers and boarders are still turning out to ride.

The winter weather is slowly improving over most of the Heartland, but it’s taken its toll. Ski areas in Ohio – Snow Trails, Mad River Mountain and Boston Mills were finally able to open briefly late last week, but all had to close down again over the weekend; again waiting for cold weather with hopefully some snow, but more importantly temperatures cold enough to make snow.
