Dartmouth Readies Winter Carnival

By Roger Leo on February 6, 2008

Human dogsled races, 99-cent skiing just part of the fun.

There’s only one catch for the under-a-dollar ticket price at Dartmouth Skiway on Feb. 8: You have to be a student.
Not a student? Have fun anyway. The weekend is one long string of winter events for students, alum, and friends of Dartmouth beginning Feb. 7 and running through Feb. 10. They include downhill racing, snow sculptures, historic films, and polar bear swim.
The oldest collegiate winter carnival in the United States transforms Hanover, N.H., and celebrates the longest tradition of downhill skiing at any college in the country.
