Snow Creek Nearing Season End

By Mike Terrell on February 26, 2007

It hasn’t been a bad season for Snow Creek, located about 30 miles north of Kansas City despite the wimpy Midwest winter. They were open when many Heartland ski areas further east across Indiana and Ohio were still closed in January, because of the unusually warm winter weather at that time. The Creek’s season will be ending in just a little less than a couple of weeks.

The last day of skiing and riding is March 11; scheduled closing date. There’s still time to get out and learn how to ski for next season. Two more Sunday night Beginner Specials are slated to take place. It’s just $30 – all ages – for a lift ticket, rental equipment and a lesson. You won’t forget what you learned over the summer, and you’ll be ready to go on opening day of next season. It’s kind of like riding a bike. Get out, enjoy and learn a new sport that makes winter a whole lot more tolerable.
