Lower Midwest Closed for Season

The Lower Midwest is closed for the 2006/07 season. All across Ohio, Indiana, Illinois, Iowa and Missouri this past weekend was the last hurrah for ski areas scattered across the lower portion of the Heartland, and it was about right on schedule; unlike the beginning of the winter season, which was very late in starting.

Missouri Winding Down Winter

Things are tightening down in Missouri, folks, as Winter fades and Spring fast approaches. Snow Creek is in a snow conservation mode and open now only on weekends until their close - or unless the gods smile again. Their terrain park is closed.

Snow Creek Nearing Season End

It hasn’t been a bad season for Snow Creek, located about 30 miles north of Kansas City despite the wimpy Midwest winter. They were open when many Heartland ski areas further east across Indiana and Ohio were still closed in January, because of the unusually warm winter weather at that time. The Creek’s season will be ending in just a little less than a couple of weeks.
