Ski Races To Be Held In Sestriere

By Patrick Thorne on January 30, 2008

The fastest ladies in the world will return to the 2006 Olympic venue at Sestriere for a speed weekend Feb. 9-10.

A downhill and super-G, now under the new title of Piemonte Mondiale, will be held on the Kandahar Banchetta Giovanni Nasi Olympic course in Sestriere Borgata.

The ladies World Cup was held in Sansicario last winter, on the Vialattea courses. This year, the ladies will be tested on the demanding course in Sestriere Borgata, which has been hosting the World Cup races for over 40 years. The first international race run on the famous course starting from Mount Motta dates back to 1967.
