Val Thorens is highlighting its new four-mile-long toboggan run with the French Toboggan Championships.

Come and enjoy the art work of the pistes bashers,” enthuses a spokesman for the world’s largest ski area in France, shared by the resorts of Courchevel, Meribel, Val Thorens, Les Menuires and others.

Val Thorens will open a six kilometre (three-and-three-quarter-mile-long) lift-served toboggan run with a fall of 700 metres (2200 feet) this winter.
