Snowmass received a perfect score in the family favorite category and came out on top as the overall favorite resort in the Rocky Mountain Region. The ratings were based primarily on readers' average ranking, number of reviews, and specific comments made in OnTheSnow.com over the winter season.

Excellent ski school. It is quiet for those who prefer quiet, but easy to get to the party scene…Snowmass is a great village, plenty of eating options, nightlife (without going into Aspen), and great ground transportation around the village… The terrain at Snowmass was fantastic; plenty for the whole family to do."

Snowmass, while part of the Aspen Ski Corp. that includes Aspen Mountain, Buttermilk, and Aspen Highlands, is actually a ski resort in its own right. The Big Burn is considered by thousands of skiers and riders as among the best intermediate runs in the world.
