CHILE -- Portillo opened for the season after two storm-filled weeks in the Andes. Opening day, June 14, was accompanied by beautiful blue skies, snow-plastered mountains, and a full house. The season is off to a great start with a current base depth of almost five feet.

CHILE - Valle Nevado opened its special 20th anniversary season
June 13 with sunny skies, large amounts of powder, snow all the way to the base and, of course, a lot of happy skiers and snowboarders from the nearby city of Santiago up for the weekend.
