Zosterbach continues to ban boarders from its slopes.
Zosterbach is one of the few remaining European ski hills that does not allow snowboarders on its piste. The resort is not thought to be anti-boarder, but with often thin snow cover the operators are concerned snowboards will quickly churn up what snow there is.
The center is open weekends, holidays, and Wednesday afternoon, snow permitting. Skiers pay 5 Euros for up to 24 rides on the lift which serves a run a fifth of a mile long with a 260 foot vertical, on a good snow day.
