Twenty-year-old Italian Ivan Origone won the Velocity Challenge at Sun Peaks recently by clocking a speed of 176.44 km/h.
The Subaru-sponsored event ran for three days, clocking the nuttiest two plankers in the world as they point themselves straight down the steepest terrain they can find. Two of the craziest skiers are Ivan and his brother Simone, who finished second in the event. Simone currently holds the sport’s world speed record at 251.4 km/h.
Sweden’s Linda Baginski flew away with the win, on the women’s side, clocking a speed of 168.82 km/h on the Sun Peaks Headwall.
