There’s more than six feet of snow lying on the Tux glacier in Austria’s Ziller Valley. This is one of just a few remaining European glaciers that stays open for snow sports year round, as well as being one of the continent’s largest summer ski areas.

Many Austrian ski areas have been benefitting from daily falls of six inches or more over recent days. The Tux glacier, one of the few remaining year round ski areas in Europe, has passed the six foot mark for snow depth on upper slopes, currently reporting six feet, six inches of snow.
