Eaglecrest ski area is doing a solid for a friend.
Whitehorse’s Mount Sima has been plagued by a lack of snow and technical difficulties this season. So, Eaglecrest recently extended an offer to all the hill’s season pass holders.
Eaglecrest General Manager Kirk Duncan said the ski area is making the offer because it doesn’t want the residents of Whitehorse to get out of the habit of skiing and snowboarding. He also says it might provide a further lift to local shops and restaurants.
Eaglecrest has enjoyed one of its most financially successful season’s ever to date, selling more season’s passes before the snow began to fall than through all of last season.
